Then there were the numerous boss fights and Scarecrow hallucination sections, which were different enough again (while still using already-introduced mechanics) to be refreshing. In quick time it would have you go from sneaking around in vents, to punching some people, to swooping around the ceiling to uh, following an evidence trail of someone’s DNA in order to get to the next objective. In essence though, it’s also a variety show, and a superbly paced one at that. I love Zelda! I don’t love Batman, but Zelda dressed up as Batman I can accept. I don’t know, whatever, Batman knows best I’m sure)). It helped that underneath all the Batman-ing it’s basically a Zelda game in template/structure (in terms of the way Batman’s gadgets come out as the game progresses, thereby enabling the player to gain access to spaces they may have noticed but not known how to get to (which admittedly involves a bit of blind-eye turning on the player’s part as, while a big part of any Zelda game is Link’s discovery of various items in the dungeons he explores, Batman seems to have most/all of these gadgets already, just he can’t be bothered using them yet or something. 24/47 steamchievements.Įnjoyment & Criticisms: Okay, honestly I wasn’t expecting to get much from this but it was Pretty Alright.
